Karlee Lanum is a harpist and dedicated educator based in central Virginia. She maintains an active freelance career, frequently performing with esteemed ensembles such as the Richmond Symphony and the Charlottesville Symphony.
In addition to her performing work, Karlee is the founder and instructor of the Richmond Harp Studio, where she passionately cultivates a love for the harp in students of all ages and skill levels.
Karlee earned her Master of Music degree in Harp Performance from the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance. She also holds a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from James Madison University. Her artistry and dedication have been recognized through multiple scholarships awarded by the Young Artist’s Harp Seminar, James Madison University, and the University of Michigan.
