Instrument: Violin

Violinist Delaney Hunt began her music studies at the age of three in her hometown of Richmond, Virginia. She was a member of the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra Program for over ten years, during which time she studied privately with Richmond Symphony violinists.

Ms. Hunt received her Bachelor of Music degree from Wheaton College in 2018 with Dr. Lee Joiner and her Master of Music degree from the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin in 2020 with Sandy Yamamoto.

Before joining the Richmond Symphony in 2022, she played with the Virginia Symphony and other chamber groups and orchestras throughout the Chicago, Austin, and Richmond areas.

Apart from her classical violin work, Delaney is actively involved in bluegrass and Celtic fiddle scenes in the greater Richmond area. When not performing, she enjoys baking and exploring historic sites around Virginia.
